What was at stake
She had only months to live and had not funded preservation through life insurance. Her decision was made under extreme uncertainty: present medicine could not save her, and future medicine offered no guarantee.
What followed
Suozzi was declared legally deceased on January 17, 2013, and became Alcor's 114th patient through neurocryopreservation.
